Default Proper use of a CCW firearm

This is a local story that happened on Saturday. I know that there are a lot of gun owners here and this is a perfect example of how to use your weapon.

No one was injured and the gun owner is charged with 2 misdemeanors.

    Here is the story.

You'll notice if you listen above the shouting that after one guy pulls a knife and the guy with the gun backs away, he commands the guy with the knife to back up or put it down after he pulled his gun.

Well in FL bars are one of the places where your CWP doesn't apply. If alcohol is served no weapons allowed regardless. In the county I live in firing a weapon outside of a licensed range is illegal period. I might have done the same thing the guy with the gun did if I was in the same situation ....or worse. OTOH, chances are I wouldn't have been there to begin with.

He broke the law when he took his Concealed weapon into a bar in the first place. If in fact that's what happened. The Law in VA, where I'm at, No churches, courts, schools, or places where alcohol is served. I personally don't belive in state CCW permits. The 2nd adment. IS MY CCW PERMIT. glad that guy is alive because of his gun.

You left out the warning shot that was fired "into the ground". I happen to disagree with the firing of warning shots, especially in an urban environment. All shots fired must be intentional and controlled.

The chick with the dog looks like she is hot.

agreed. you should never even draw it if you don't intend to shoot someone.

Doesn't firing it into the ground count as a controlled shot? I mean it's not like he fired it up in the air ala "The Wild, Wild West" style where the bullet could then come down who knows where...
He made his point, and the fight appears to have broken up at that point.
