So my 3-y-o daughter is currently in bed with a fever, coughing like crazy with a very sore throat, and dosed up with Tamiflu. My wife, who has been diagnosing dozens of cases of Swine flu like crazy for the last 3 weeks is starting to feel 'hot' (and believe me, not as in "it's my lucky night"!). My son (7) suddenly became very tear-y this evening and definitely not himself. And I'm beginning to imagine that thick feeling you get at the back of your throat where it meets the nasal passage...

I don't have a good feeling about this.

Forgot to mention: earlier this evening whilst standing in line at the pharmacy there were 6 people in front of me. All of us were the parents of young children waiting to pick up a dose of Tamiflu for their flu-ridden kids. That's 100% of the customers in there at that time. Epidemic in London? It's freakin' scary!!

have you ever considered trying silver hydrosol? (or silver water or super silver or sovereign silver) i have had great success with it and use it on everything from an ingrown toenail to a nasal spray to an immune boost in the winter months. works great.

other then that i am sorry to hear about your family and i hope things clear up soon.

Thanks guys. Fingers crossed it won't be as bad as the media make out. Many people who've had swine flu seem to have not been too badly affected, so I'm banking on a couple of tough weeks with the family and then, hopefully, that will be that.

Mark, I don't mean to be flip but I'm sure it'll be rough, but FLU rough, not "28 Days Later" rough. The flu is never good...take care, and get that tamiflu flowing!

Jim, I completely agree with you. The media really has pumped up this swine flu thing to something it is not! What is strange is that some friends and family are freaking out at our news, and some are asking if they can come around with their kids so they can catch it now whilst it's not too bad before it mutates later in the Fall. Go figure! (So anyway, I guess I don't have to read up on the zombie thread now.
