I must point out that in the Koran that Jesus is a prophet and not the son of God. This is a major point, that I think separates the two religions. This is why I split the two.

While I see where you're coming from on this regarding being the "same God", to use your analogy
Someone may have a vague idea that I exist, and know some of the things that I've done, but otherwise know nothing about me. Perhaps, knowing nothing about me they make up a name that is not mine, and guess at what my attributes are based on what they can see. That is no guaruntee that another persons image of me is actually the same as who I am.
So while someone else may worship the "same God" it doesn't mean that they know what they are doing.
I do believe, correct me if I am wrong, that Allah is simply Arabic for God, not a unique term to Muslims. My understanding is that many Arabic Christians still refer to God as Allah, just as Germans would refer to Gott, etc.

Rightm but here in the material world everyone has so much invested in material things like names, they are important, but in the spiritual world everything is fused to everything else, names are not so important, wheras here in the material world we have all sorts of nonsense faught over because of caring about these names and other material things.
(names are material things because they exist within the minds of people as little memory storage bits)
"Whats in a name?"
The name is not so important, its a bit like If a sign reads "Dager Ahoad!!! Falling Raks" , As long as you get the basic message and act according to the information its not so important if the message is not clear. It is better to have the message clear, but if not at least get the jist of the message. Some people will stand ther arguing foolsihly about the bad grammer on the sign and who is responsible, life tends to hit these people in the head with a falling rak.
