Thanked: 586Perhaps Prayer Isn't the Best Medicine
Interesting stroy about a man arrested for praying for his daughter's recovery instead of seeking medical attention:

Of course, God could have healed his daughter, He just didn't want to.

Perhaps if the father listened to the answer to his prayer he would've taken his daughter to the hospital.

Thanked: 9You really shouldnt be praying for stuff that you want. Even if its peoples lives or other things. If you want something done right do it yourself. If god wanted to do all these little things for everyone he would do them all at once and there would be no trouble in the world. Although he would have to force alot of choices on people to achieve this and i dont think forcing things on people is his way of doing stuff, that would contradict his nature.
Reminds me of the story of a guy in middle. Guy is really happy this day, he has huge faith in god, so pleased with himself he goes to the temple to speak with the spiritual masters in the temple, he arrives very happr and walks inside and announces his faith in god, He mentions to the guru that he has so much faith in god that he didnt even bother to tie up his camel outside. The guru responds "Get outside and tie up that camel you fool!".
For you see even camels have choice, and god cannot force choice on a camel to suit the whim of one man who has found a bit of faith. Same way he cannot force a choice on anyone to suit the needs/desires of anyone else.

If it was me I'd pray for my daughters recovery on the way to hospital.
