At the behest of nun2sharp I bring you pictures of the toughest, meanest, rootinest, tootinest, sweetest little girl you will ever know ( i might be a little biased):
The first is me and her on a hike. The second is her teasing Rusty and the third I put in so that you may see the scar on her left knee. It is partially covered. All pictures were taken within the last two months. The first was taken two weeks agoLast edited by JMS; 05-19-2010 at 06:21 AM.

What a princess! As time goes by she will outgrow any scar, they are tougher than we give them credit for.

Its been a little over a year and My little Sandra is fairing well. I might add she is not so little anymore as she is catching up to our middle child Matthew in height. Her scar is just another part of her body to her...it means nothing in other words but for myself it is a serious reminder to pay close attention at all times.
Matthew likes touching her scar and Joshua never pays it any mind but I looked at it for the first time the other day, meaning I saw it clearly with out hiding from it in my mind. It is not pleasant to see especially when you know that your own inattention caused it in the first place but never the less I see it with open eyes. In an odd way it seems to bond us in a manner that isn't there between my older children.
I imagine I will give another update in a year or so.

A Father's Elation
Hello, Mark:
Such a sweet and tender story. It says a lot about father's love for his daughter. Well done, sir. Give Sandra a hug from me.
Regards,
Obie
