But then again, it says Ithica, NY so I would expect such things. Unlike some I know about the antibody responses to viruses, and guess what, private companies make those vaccines and pay for the research behind them. I am sorry that you do not understand my point, nor do you know the facts about your counter argument. I do not hand out advice, but you really should think about getting your facts straight in you arguments, because unlike most people who think you are intelligent with such a statement, there are those of us who see the stupidity in your argument. As before, some of us have published research and know what we are saying when we make a statement.
It says Ithaca because I go to Cornell University- which happens to be a LAND GRANT Uninversity aka a STATE University, which receives a LOT of scholarship and research money from the STATE which is a PUBLIC entity. My Dad works in A STATE vet school doing research for the STATE. I have helped him in his labs and read over his grant proposals to the STATE. I'm sorry for this misunderstanding. My dad's research has given him several invitations per year to speak at international veterinary conferences, and was even hired by game reserves such as the Kruger Park (one of the best in the world) in Africa to work on their animals. I think I know a little about research.

And would you call military research private research? Or state funded research? Because military research gave us the servomotor (used extensively in the public sector today), better aeroplanes, etc, and NASA (definitely tax-funded) came up with memory foam, the in ear thermometer, shoe insoles, cordless tools and water filters to name but a few.

Yes a lot of research is private sector, but a lot is also public sector and tax funded... and its definitely not bull****.

I'm not gonna look it up (dunno where I would) but I would bet the US is in raw numbers.

    BUT I think that...

If you did immigrants per square mile of country, it would hands down be Germany or Spain (or maybe another in Europe).

If you did immigrants per unit of population, I believe it is Spain, with something like 80% of the new population being immigrants from Africa, due to its increasingly attractive job market.

Spain is actually more than twice lower than USA and an order of magnitude less than the top scores.

I funded my research on the subject privately, so you will have to pay me for access to the full results.
