I love hearing music I have never heard of before. Keep it coming.
I grew up on George Jones, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, ... . (even though I was a kid in the 80's my dad only listened to the "good" country music).

Sirenia is good, though in their last 2 albums, there is too much 'beauty' and not enough beast.
One of the last cds I bought (well, put on my christmas list) was this 'Elixir for existence'. The best song on the CD was this one imo, and resembles what tristania used to stand for.

One folkish metal band which uses various old instruments, tunes and languages in their music is In Extremo from Germany.
Regarding the beauty and the beast, I can't help mentioning Nightwish. They mostly do their own material, but the singing in this phantom is quite contrasty.
