But if he's going to do it, he should also know HOW to say no to her. Without having to clear his throat to fart for the rest of his life that is.

Everything here is good. I would add these though.
1) A man should never back down from a bully.
2)A man should NEVER allow another man to hit a woman.
3) A man should be able to drive a tractor.
4) A man should be able not only to hunt his own food, but grow his own food.
5) A man should be able to ride a horse through at least three gaits.
6) A man should be able to train an animal.
7) A hardcore man should never cry or scream because of pain.
8) Most important:
A man should be able to sacrifice everything for his family or the life of his child without having to think about it.
Just my thoughts.

A man should know how to fart without anyone ever suspecting. If they do suspect, they must also be able to man up to it.

I know a slightly different one:

When detecting someone else's fart in a formal company:
* wimps feel offended and reach for handkerchiefs
* ordinary men make a note like: "Oh God, someone must have just soiled himself"
* real men are not afraid to say: "Oh God, I must have soiled myself good!"

Men should know their limitations.

Men should ignore their limitations.

That's what boys do, and that's good. When they grow up they learn to deal with their limitations.
