Thanks for your service Brad.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

The point of the day is to honor veterans
So when you say you think Veterans day is a load of crap without an explanation, it appears that you think the idea of honoring veterans is a load of crap
Were you hoping to get people to shoot from the hip?

Thanked: 586I was more expecting a dialogue with perhaps some thoughtful comments on what might make the day not crap from a veteran's point of view. I certainly didn't insult anyone. Yet poor Mr. Shooter's blood is boiling over there. Well you really should learn to cool off there Shooty. I have had the converstaion many times with many fellow vets, they tend to agree w. Tell me Shootley, why would my dislike of a given holiday "make your blood boil?" What would happen if I told you I didn't like Columbus Day either?

Thanked: 11i think every one on the computer is a tough ass, and run at the mouth, i agree with brad what does it do for us vets???? i have pride everyday! unless your a loud mouth vet that is still overly gun-ho about the things you didn't do in a war time tour! i served in the USMC, i also know personally the person that is ICEDOG, who is more than a giving and thoughtful DUDE!, and more of my friends that are vets old like my father from korean conflict to his friend ssgt sanborn triple purple heart winner and still alive, my best friend whom is on this site will all say the same along with other members of my platoon that i still talk with, can't stand vets day! most vets don't even brag about there service! like i said unless you haven't been there for real! it's not about getting anything for free for the day...but rather the lack of constant support from our government and people for our vets and troops now and then! i feel that the founder of this great site telling someone that there free speech or how they feel should go packing is just great! then might as well make the whole site rated G and tell everyone they can't think or act or feel as they wish!
happy veterans day!
