I do not currently belong to a gym, I am looking into it but the nudity thing really does not bother me. While in the Marines in boot camp especially all the showers were bunched pretty close you just learn to accept that, you do not think of it as gay or anything like that it is just there. Just do not stare, every body is there for there own reasons and all have different comfort levels, if you are less comfortable try not to stare or let it bother you. As far a sh#tting in the shower you should make them use there own towel to clean up after them selves. Or also as stated as above push them down in there own mess.

Thanked: 20Seems like there may be ulterior motives at work when you go to the gym and someone is strutting their stuff. I'd be concerned about their motives if it were me.

The nudity isnt a major problem, as long as the person isnt walking around as if to deliberately show the fact that they are naked. People walking to and from the showers naked is no bother, I just avert my eyes..!
Cr*pping the shower though is another thing entirely and thats just wrong on every level. If I saw someone do that, there would be words had and I'd report the person to the gym management. You just dont do that sort of thing. EVER.
I remember going to a swimmimg pool when I was younger and they didnt have separate changing rooms, just loads of little cubicles and you just grabbed one that was free. I went in to one to find some delightful lady had removed her tampon and left it on the bench for the next person to find. Needless to say I quickly found another changing room!
Some people are just gross and it doesnt seem to bother them that they are.

Maybe those guys are gay and try to turn you on!

There's an old guy at my gym who insists on on sitting naked (on a towel) while reading the paper for about 10 mins while he "air dries".

Locker Room Etiqutte
Gentlemen,
At this stage in my life I expect the unexpected from some people. I also believe everything I see and hear, including singing rabbits and dancing raccoons. So I am not surprised by your stories from the locker room.
I'm afraid some people have not the least notion about propriety. Nudity in the locker room or the steam room does not offend me. Nudity flaunted for a peculiar reason is offensive, much in the way that senseless profanity is. Everything in its place.
Yet I have learned to tolerate people's unsavory habits. That's the reality human beings have faced since the beginning of time. Some people cannot help being gross — they were brought up in a swamp.
For a while, in the locker room of my health club (a respectable, slightly high end establishment), invariably I would observe an old man, older than I — and I was classmates with Louis XIV — who would tape a nude female magazine photo on the shower stall's opaque glass door and take his shower.
Well, what can I say?
It's hard to miss such a photo from either side of the glass. While the female body can be a masterpiece of art, a pleasure to look at, somehow posting it on the shower door in the men's locker room and taking a shower leaves little to the imagination.
But then again, as I said, I have come to expect anything from some people. Fortunately there are enough gentlemen in this world that the few schmucks running around remain insignificant, like a little bug on the wall.
Regards,
Obie

That was my thought from the first. Here, in Atlanta, there was a gym located in the Atlanta financial district that had a spa (hot tub) in the men's locker room. It became a "cruising zone" and if I remember correctly this gym has closed. There was a men's spa (think metrosexual) not far from this gym and it closed within a year because the straight customers became outnumbered and became intimidated.
