If I recall correctly, Robert Williams drinks black espresso, all day long

For me it varies on the time of day.
In the morning and afternoon I tend to just have it with milk, but in the evening after a meal I'll have it black.
If I'm feeling sluggish (or the coffee is poor quality) I'll tend to lace it with milk and sugar to hide the bitterness/ wake me up!

If it's good coffee, I like it black
If it needs help, I won't enjoy it much anyway

I like my coffee black if it is good coffee. On the road I find that most of the fast food places do not know how to make coffee. McDonalds is good if it is made fresh. A few months ago I had to wait while they made it fresh. I was thinking that the fresh cup would taste real good. Then the stupid woman mixed it with the old coffee that had been sitting on the burner for hours.
If the coffee is bitter I will add stevia.
At home I might make mocha by adding some cocoa. I usually will add a little bit of raw milk. On rare occasions I will add a drop of alcohol (Baileys, Amaretto or whiskey).

I take my coffee black and strong like used motor oil.
Sometimes, with a good company, i might add a little of Jameson or Wana Tallinn Liquer
I remember when i was a kiddie, some older people did add little salt into their coffee
