    Double espresso shot with just a smidgin of foamed milk on top to take the edge off. I believe they call it Macchiato (dirtied, or stained).

    This happened in the late sixties so i might remember it wrong, but i think it was 1-2 teaspoons of salt into old time coffee pot that could make about 5-6 cups of coffee.

    Espresso with frothed milk... which makes it a café au lait or latte.

    I also like to put some Sambuca (italian anise liquor) in my espresso! That's called corretto (a sambuca)

    When i was in high school this happened to a teacher, student put acid in his coffee when he left the room.

    I grew up in a home where everyone drank their coffee with cream and sugar so that's how I got used to drinking it. My wife drinks hers black but it seems too bitter to me. I will drink it black if there's no cream or sugar around though.
