    Thumbs up

Goodwill toward men of good will and all that jazz.

But for now thanks and gratitude to the veterans and the survivors and of course especially to those who sacrificed so much for all of us, we bow to you in this time of rememberance of your service, of all veterans and especially those from Pearl Harbor and WWII.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

What a bunch of hooey! I know WWII vets and they're not "appalled" at all. By what survey do you base your blanket assertion? I presume you've interviewed the vast majority, if not all, living WWII vets to come to this conclusion? Please...

"our very rights being taken away from us daily, with Christian religion being swept aside for political correctness"

Gee, the last time I looked, the town was being decorated for Christmas; the TV was awash in both secular and religious programming about Christmas, and all my friends and neighbors were busy getting ready for the holidays; all the same churches were still operating; and everyone who wanted to pray, go to church, decorate for Christmas, worship together, and watch whatever religious broadcasting was available on TV, radio, the internet, were able to do so. Not sure how this comports with the Christian religion being "swept aside". Perhaps you're arguing for a return to the time when Christian prayers were recited in public schools. That hardly constitutes anyone's freedom to worship being taken away from them.
if you would get you head out of the sand and look at what i posted you would understand. i said i had been to the funerals of WWII vets who were appalled at what was going on. of all the services i attended, i knew each and everyone and had the highest regards for them and their service.
on the christian subject. schools by the scores now prohibit any type of christian symbols or even christmas symbols and instead allow only generic holiday symbols(some in mass. even restrict candy canes) even santa claus is being thrown out of public places because the represents saint nicholas(damn sure can't have any religious connotation) nativity scenes banned from public property under the so called separation of church and state which by the way does not exist(it was a thought by thomas jefferson) but if you are any religion besides jew and christian you can display at will. this is what is appalling to WWII vets also

sorry for going astray from giving all due respect to our WWII vets. we owe them everything we have or hope to have

Perhaps we can discuss this in more detail on another thread so as to not dilute the original purpose of this thread
