Kinda makes me glad I live in South Florida...let me see Dec 12th here was 85 F. I have kept the A/C going mainly because of the humidity. The coldest I have experienced was -10 F I thought I was going to die. I don't do too well in the cold. I was born in the island of Cuba where winters are a toasty 65F.

Western cold snaps can really be brutal - my in-laws live in Winnipeg, and it's cold...but at least it's a dry cold

Over here in Ottawa (the 7th (?)coldest national capital in the world, thank you very much), it will be -16c (3f) for a high on Thursday, and -23c (-9F) overnight. Apparently your western cold snap is moving east...the only difference is that we have humidity to deal with as well, so the cold really socks into your bones.

But it makes you hardy, right?

    Mark

ps. enough snow to have used my snowblower 4 times already, with tonight looking to be #5...
