The U.S Marshal's have commercial flights where they transport 100+ prisoners across the U.S and once on the plane with armed guards they shackle them into their seats and the prisoners are wearing only jumpsuits and have been strip searched and probed.
You know what's coming next fellas? Har HarNo matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

One should worry....
PETN - hard to detect and just 100g can destroy a car | World news | The Guardian
He apparently had 80g of the stuff and had it detonated
the airframe would have been at serious risk.
I am not sure what should be done but as long as the TSA agent
is as good looking as _name_deleted_to protect_her_identity_ pat me down.

I dunno, I'm looking at a few different sources around the net and finding stuff like this: 80 Grams of PETN is roughly the equivalent of ten blasting caps, or 4 Hollywood type blood pack squibs. Yes, if 80 grams of PETN were sewn into the crotch of our "Panty bomber's" underwear and detonated, it would blow his "goods" off, but with the shock wave absorbed by his legs, not much more than that.
I'm also aware that Mr. Obama's term isn't going well and the Patriot act has to be renewed on 31st of December this year. Hmmm....???

Caution: Most references to PETN strength and products are
reported in grains.
1 grains = 0.06479891 grams
80g is like 12 to 20 feet of DET cord which
would cut a sheet of plywood clean in half
and slice the aluminum in an air frame like butter.
The guy sounds like an idiot and who ever
coached him or signed him up wanted to make a big stinky
sticky mess as much as bring down the aircraft.

Let's be absolutely sure the amount he was carrying was actually enough to compromise the pressure vessel before we start parroting the sensationalistic media. Do we know for a fact that it was PETN? Do we know for a fact how much he was carrying? Do we know for sure what the alleged amount would do in that particular case? I for one have no clue, and neither does anyone else at this stage, least of all the overgrown children (sensationalism, cheap theatrics, high-drama round every corner whether it exists or not) on the "news"! Hearsay & internet videos are not scientific studies...
Let's keep this in perspective--public overreaction is just ammunition for grandstanding politicians who want to look "tough on terror" & incompetent bureaucrats to take away more of our freedoms... When they're gone, they're gone!
