    I have a theory. It's the theory of thermal-taxation.

This could be the cause of warming in the last decade.

It's caused by friction and blood pressure, and peaks
    every year around April 15th.

It's caused by the heat created when the government pulls
    money out of your wallet.

I bet the correlation would be better than tree ring data!

Well, we have been coming out of a big Ice Age for about 10 thousand years so that might explain it. We have also been coming out of a small ice age for about 300 years. That also might have something to do with it. There is an 11-year sunspot cycle that shows a really good correlation with climate and that might also have something to do with why this last, admittedly warm, decade has stopped getting any warmer and actually started to cool.

Lots of good and relatively obvious explanations, at least in hindsight. Tough to predict the future, though. But, other than the falsified and fraudulent "hockey stick" chart (which even the IPCC has removed from its reports) there is no evidence of human influence on the climate -- only predictions from computer models which the Climategate e-mails have demonstrated to be a mess.

You can "get a handle on anything" when you skew the data. Draw up a hypothesis and just work backwards. (ooopps, that damn hard drive crashed and we "lost" all that data- hmmm cool aid- I remember)

Its 26 degrees outside right now. If it was warmer and the roads were not so ICY-I'd be out using ALOT of fossil fuel in my 451 HP C63AMG. I'm NEVER going to drive a Prius, nor do I really care about my "carbon footprint" Ever look at the fuel consumption numbers on a Gulfstream?

Hey everybody-I got an idea- let's invent something called CARBON CREDITS-then we can buy and sell them and get even RICHER and control the lives of those that don't have vast amounts of cash ---Sorry,I forgot AL GORE already thought of it. (And the internet too!!!) Sorry Billy-I HATE cool-aid, and I'm not buying what YOU guys are selling.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Even if the last decade was warmer, I wouldn't sweat it. Plant life grows better in warm climes. More food for the starving masses. More oxygen put off by plant life taking in the carbon dioxide. It's a good thing.

Now if we can just get a handle on why this week has been the coldest one in Florida in the last 25 years.

Weather and climate are two different things.

You can't discredit global warming because of a cold front just like you can't prove it based on a heat wave. I've lived in Florida all my life and yes, it's unusually cold right now -- but come August I can assure you that it will be 90+ degrees and 90%+ humidity and I'm sure there will be a day or two where we hit record highs.

Nor can you prove it on the basis of a 10-year trend, which is, I think, the point of the post you are referencing.

What a 10-year trend *can* prove is that the AGW predictions are bogus since 10 years ago they predicted a *dramatic* warming over this past 10 years.

Lets not commit trillions of dollars and our free market economy to predictions that have *already* been proven wrong. And remember, all the AGW people have are predictions. History shows that nothing out of the ordinary has been happening.
