I derived it from your avoiding of the reproducibility issue.

Oh-oh seems like you haven't been doing your quantum field theory homeworks... That would be what a layperson would call everywhere.

Why not, if it were just like god, the dark matter can just pull whenever and wherever it feels like pulling. In fact it could just bend the photons so that they create the image of god...

#1- I didn't avoid reproducibility issues, one of my backing arguments had specifically to do with reproduction: mine!

#2- Well, convieniently for dark matter theorists then, everywhere is within something else's gravitational field, and thus there is no way to isolate the dark matter from the real matter as to find out what is causing the gravitational effect.

#3- You lost me on this one...have you been hitting the wine again? I never said dark matter was like God, nor vice versa. I just said that there were striking similarities in how scientifically proveable they are.

Not sure why you want me to spell it out to the smallest detail, but here you go.
This level of reproducibility is not enough. In science the things that are not reproducible are either 'cutting edge' and therefore not really established, or fraud. You would notice that as science advances the things that get incorporated in it get easier and easier to reproduce, so currently some can, and are done by toddlers, others in the schools, others in college...

Now that is not the same with religion. I am yet to be offered a single god experiment that is suitable and easy to be reproduced by a layperson. Something where I can switch the use of god on and off and see the difference. With measurable results, you know.

If your only point is that there is a research that goes by the label of science, which doesn't have all ends neatly tied, well, I guess I can only say 'Duh!'.
And no, I haven't been hitting the wine yet, but since I was unable to involve god in it, I'll have to resort to the non-god way of doing it and visit the liquor store.

Do you think they are equally likely to remain that way? (similarly unproven by science)

I offered, but you said going to Crete was too inconvienient

So, theoretical science gets a free pass with loose ends dangling, yet religion does not?

well, yeah, they have different track record.
religion has been around for milleniums, so i'd expect that it can offer something simpler that can be tested by the average six pack joe, without having to go all the way to crete.

i mean take a dog and a man, they both eat, poop, and die. striking similarities, eh? i've even noticed that the females could be referred by the same word.

I think you will find religion to be quite popular with the Joe sixpack crowd!

And I would also most certainly refer to you as a sly dog, Gugi!
