Thanked: 431What a retard! What in the world was he trying to say? I suspect that he doesn't even know. Just some rambling flibble flabble and flopdoodle.
Is he trying to say that this happened because the scam in Copenhagen didn't go over like they wanted to?
When this hit the news I could just see Emmanuel and Axelrod and the rest of the sleazes with their eyes as big as saucers and their little brains going into overdrive trying to storm up an idea of how they could take advantage of the situation.
One of their mottos is - "Never let a good crisis go to waste."
Disgusting.

Thanked: 335I never realized that eathquakes and the like were caused by global warming. It would seem, just in case, that Californians would be well advised to pack up their effects and affects to seek work and shelter elsewhere. Whatever do you suppose the Krakatoans did to get their island blown up? Or was this blast caused by nearby misdirected or evil neighbors with large elemental footprints?

Thanked: 431Maybe so Ivan, and that can be a good thing. But it does charity efforts no favors to get up there and say that the earthguake is a result of Copenhagen. It's just retarded.

To equate an earthquake to global climate change is really inaccurate and unfortunate.
I think he's misguided in this statement, but let it be understood that tsunamis and other weather-related disasters are imminent if global warming is real.
Part of the problem is that people choose a side and become a cheerleader for their agenda. And these agendas can be clouded sometimes behind rhetoric.
By and large, the vast majority of scientists throughout the world agree that global climate change is real and will result in disastrous consequences if nothing is done. Unfortunately, pundits (who are essentially lobbyists for the republican party, and yet they insist that the media is liberal even though they ARE the media) apparently have more credibility than the men who have decided to devote themselves to science rather than a political party... simply because they have a louder voice and have no problem with the verbal bullying that goes on by Limbaugh, Savage, Hannity, etc...
Those pundits are the scum of the earth and they're selling out America to fill their own pockets.
Anyway, yes. Ignorant statment by Danny Glover, but he's right in the inference that global warming will lead to epic disaster in third world nations... and then later in first world nations...

I've no idea who mr Glover is (probably someone with influence), but his statements seemed to be little 'strange'.
