Thanked: 586I agree with Mr. Caddy that Glover is as bad in some regards but I think his message, as twisted as it may be, is still a plea for help as opposed to Robertson's hatespeak. Robertson has follower's who hang on his every word. If he says Haiti got what it paid for, his followers will turn their backs on those in dire need.

Even though it sounds like you've already made up your mind that this is fear mongering, there have been two 100 year floods in Iowa in the past decade and hurricaine Katrina, among other hurricaines are what I (and some of the top climatologists in the world) believe are the result of human activity's effect on global climate.
Minute changes in the upper atmosphere have a compounded effect on what we experience in weather.
Its not going to cause earthquakes, but in terms of moisture distribution and force winds it has a huge global effect.

You're right, I was thinking about congress, most of those useless critters are pushing the man made climate change agenda. Food for feul is an issue but here's some good reading on the Myths of Vegetarianism

Thanks for the enlightening information. And thanks for aligning your opinion through a different scope, since your "feul"-based opinion had no factual basis.
FYI I'm not pregnant. There is no reason for me to worry about a miscarraige, although I appreciate your concern.
At risk of hijacking the thread, please enjoy the enlightening video featured here, narrated by former Beatle (and vegetarian activist), Sir Paul McCartney.
I'd post some info about obesity in America as a retort to your "sound science" presented in the article above, but I fear it would be redundant rhetoric about saturated fats, high glycemic levels, the fact that 30% of children in America are overweight or obese... which vegetarianism could change... but alas, thats just more left wing agenda crap designed to support the umm... organic farmers industry... or something.

This is some of what I deciphered from his comment. "What happened in Haiti could happen to anywhere in the Caribbean because all these island nations are in peril because of global warming. When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I'm sayin'?"
Instead of a concerned peace activist you now look to the world like just another pathetic former star desperately grasping at fame as it slips away from you, willing to be one of Al Gore's "useful idiots" to spend a few more seconds in the light.
