To equate an earthquake to global climate change is really inaccurate and unfortunate.
I think he's misguided in this statement, but let it be understood that tsunamis and other weather-related disasters are imminent if global warming is real.
Part of the problem is that people choose a side and become a cheerleader for their agenda. And these agendas can be clouded sometimes behind rhetoric.
By and large, the vast majority of scientists throughout the world agree that global climate change is real and will result in disastrous consequences if nothing is done. Unfortunately, pundits (who are essentially lobbyists for the republican party, and yet they insist that the media is liberal even though they ARE the media) apparently have more credibility than the men who have decided to devote themselves to science rather than a political party... simply because they have a louder voice and have no problem with the verbal bullying that goes on by Limbaugh, Savage, Hannity, etc...
Those pundits are the scum of the earth and they're selling out America to fill their own pockets.
Anyway, yes. Ignorant statment by Danny Glover, but he's right in the inference that global warming will lead to epic disaster in third world nations... and then later in first world nations...
