Thanked: 431Of course if anyone knows his first and middle name he will most certainly get at least some little bit of kidding about it.
But on the other hand they are just basically pretty good names.
First off James is of course a good Bible name, and it is not a 'strange' name that he would maybe get kidded about, it is the name of one of Mary's other sons the earthly brother of Jesus. I am pretty sure that it is the New Testament version of the Old Testament Hebrew name Jacob, another good plus.
And Kirk means 'of the church', an at least seemingly good name.
It is my oldest brother's middle name, he is on I believe his fourth round in the 'pokey' and from what I hear is not eligible for early release.

Apart, both are good names, but together I have to agree with X. Its like calling your kid James if your surname is Bond, its setting them up as different right at the start, which may not be a problem at all. But then again it might be, and its not worth the risk of creating trouble for them IMHO, so I voted no.
But apart, both are good names, as I say! Let us know what you decide on..!Last edited by Stubear; 02-19-2010 at 10:50 AM.

Thanked: 7I have a friend who gave his son Danger for a middle name. You know that is going to help with the lady situation in a few years.

I would go with James Tiberius myself. It's slightly nerdy, but then again cool enough on its own. James Salazar sounds strong though, so you may not need the Kirk. I already messed up using Tiberius unfortunately...that's the cat's name now, lol.
