The names Kirk, James Kirk.
So next week we will find out if we are having a boy or a girl. We're so excited. The battle over names is getting heated. I joked with her that we should name the baby (if a boy) James Kirk Salazar. Obviously after the great, one and only Capt. Kirk.
her response? "Over my dead body".
Now personally I think its a good name. Her father is named Names, and Kirk is a good middle name. But she says that she has veto power. So we're going to pick another name. But who else thinks its a good name?

Okay, qualifier:
It is a fine name, but both together are a bit too nerdy so I voted 'no'. I'd split them apart and use one, James being too common, Kirk is what I'd push for IF she were a Trekkie too.
How is 'Names' pronounced?
Oh, and she does have veto power. Technically here in BC that's legal too. It behooves you to find something that suits you both.Last edited by xman; 02-19-2010 at 02:20 AM.

Yeah, pushing the baby out kinda gives her that right. LOL.
Good idea about splitting them up.

Thanked: 235One of my brothers in-law is named James. He is a complete pansy. Runs like a girl, wears make-up, is afraid of the dark and his girlfriend in poor light looks like a man.
If only he had the middle name T. Kirk he could be a manly man despite his flaws.

(Disclaimer: My opinion doesn't count - it's your child!! )
I vote no. I thought of three things after reading your post:
1. Leonard James Akaar.
2.The many 10 and 11 year old "Anakins" out there.
3. See my signature. "The Cisco Kid" was still in reruns when I was born. I don't really mind my nickname though.
I do agree that one or the other is fine. Congratulations on your addition to your family!

James T.?
He will end up being the toughest kid in school, or the most beat down...I don't know if it is a good idea to set him up like that?

I'd name him Wild Bill after Wild Bill Hickok if it was me .
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
