Interesting, but still an opinion article written by someone who has been very vocal about her stance against reform. Her 18 myths here is just a rehashed version of her "10 reasons to kill the bill" article written months ago.
Read:
Ezra Klein - Jane Hamsher's 10 reasons to kill the bill
Now to find a rebuttal to the rebuttal.

Thanked: 369But doesn't this just expand the class of people permanently dependent on government assistance? And assure a steady stream of more tax dollars into political coffers? And then the growing class resentments will continue to provide plenty of diversion away from government corruption.
Oh wait, that's exactly the plan, isn't it.....Last edited by honedright; 03-20-2010 at 03:52 PM.

Thanked: 13247Follow the money, honest it really is that simple.... Don't think political, don't get sucked into that vortex of BS just follow the money....
If you really think this is about helping the "People" then you deserve what you get or what you voted for which is "Change" and that is exactly what you will have "The "Change" in your pocket" ...
There really is nothing else to this and it really doesn't matter which party backs it follow the money...

But of course, I remember a quote along the lines "it's all good and doesn't matter all that much whether it comes from bigmac, sturgeon, or lentil and beans".
But what I'm surprised at is your lack of faith in the corporate ingenuity and innovation. If they could make beans cheap and plentiful why wouldn't they be able to make meat grow 10 times faster with half the current intake of whatever it takes to grow. And while at that get rid of all that digestive overhead, which would also generate additional income from selling carbon credits.
The future is just around the corner.
