I was reading a post on another forum where they were bitching and moaning because they live in Canada and when ever they get international parcels shipped by UPS or Fedex they feel they are being ripped of for exorbitant fees and brokerage fees and when they get the same items from Canada Post they pay little or nothing. Usually people rail against the Government run Postal system which is badly run and managed. Well, private companies are here to make money off of you and the more the better.

As far as the VA is concerned most of you guys either fail to see or don't want to see the fact that when a private company is in charge they are controlled by competition. Based on their ability to stay in business and keep customers happy and loyal they have to provide a given level of service or they lose the customers no matter the type of business. Govt does not work that way. An agency is given an appropriation and then they live by it and if its insufficient for them to function well, too bad do the best you can. That's the problem with the VA. They are and have always been at the bottom of agency pecking order and that is their problem.
