Thanked: 74They pay me for 37.5 hours and I try really hard to stick to close to that. Some weeks there is work that needs to get done, others there isn't, so it evens out pretty well.
That said, I usually end up putting in a little closer to 40 most weeks, but not much more than that.

55+ when I used to be on salary. There were times when I wouldn't even come home. I'd sleep in the office. That job sucked but it was the highest paying job I've ever had.

45 - 80+ is normal. I don't even try and keep track anymore. There are times when I make less money than my kids chore commission I pay them.
But then, there are times when I'm pretty damn well paid.
I have started and run 2 companies. Hours there are unlimited.

Thanked: 234Somewhere in the region of 40 to 60. I've just finished 5 days of 12 hour days. In this job, I wouldn't want to do any more than that. It's too monotonous and IMO it puts peoples lives at risk.

I'm having such work that every now and then i have to spend long times (from few weeks to few months) away from home, but when back here i work about 38 hrs per week. Sometimes there is more and sometimes less work to do.

Usually average out at around 55. Some weeks more and some less.

During the 15 years when I was practicing law I worked 80-90 hours a week. I had high blood pressure, bleeding ulcers, migraines, slept 3-4 hours a night and weighed 140 lbs on a 6 foot frame. I missed almost every family vacation during that period. I made really good money. I was miserable. Now I work 45-50 hours a week, I am healthy, balanced and happy.

50- 60 hrs has been my experience sometimes more, you better love what you are doing! I'm glad to hear you are doing so well at the new job!

I am expected to work 42 hours per week. 40 of that billed to a client, 2 billed to the Firm for whatever they want/need (usually it's interviewing people for jobs or some management activity).
I am not allowed to bill/work more than 40 hours per week for any one client.

Before I retired I was scheduled for 50hrs per week but the unofficial overtime I wasn't paid for amounted to on average, well, lets see about 1000 hours per year and I didn't get any bonus either.
