I tend to agree with Mama Bear on feedback. I leave my feedback when I receive payment or within a day or two at the most. I don't sell that much on e-bay so have not come across a buyer who would leave negative feedback before contacting me. However, I doubt that even if I did, that this would make me change my approach.

There are all kinds of people on e-bay, it is a public internet bazaar after all. If I were to let a few no class individuals affect my behavior and principles on feedback I might as well start to compose my listings in capitol letters, in ugly multi-color text, jumping font sizes, broken English and out of focus photos.

As far as I am concerned my way is better and I am sticking to it.

HONEST SELLER - LEAVES FEEDBACK BEFORE I DID!!!!!!

That way other people can see it and feel confident. i am starting to do that. i'll leave positive feedback for someone if I get the item but I figure It'd be nice for others to know that they left it first. If EVERYBODY on ebay starts doing it it could catch on!

    Pass around to other boards!!!
All sellers should leave feedback before the buyer, anyway. When I buy something from a seller, as a buyer, I did my part. The seller should then leave feedback. The seller shouldn't wait until I've received my item before leaving feedback.

    Bingo! VERY well-said.

You are ABSOLUTELY correct!! I agree completely with this statement. I have had sellers say that they will not leave feedback for me untill I leave feedback for them and wonder what it is they are afraid of! I ordered my item and I paid my money , what else is left for me to do?!

You can still cause trouble for them. Get the product and say it never arrived, or ruin it and try to return it. Even if you just have a valid reason for returning it and they are willing to do so, but want to wait till it gets bak ... yada, yada. I understand why sellers might want to wait if they're not familiar with the seller. I completely appreciate any seller who does leave instant feedback, but understand why they may not.
