Thanked: 2Special Feedback for Honest Sellers on Ebay
PEOPLE NEED TO START LEAVING A SPECIAL FEEDBACK
Whenever you get feedback from a seller before you leave some for them, make sure to write, in capital letters
HONEST SELLER - LEAVES FEEDBACK BEFORE I DID!!!!!!
That way other people can see it and feel confident. i am starting to do that. i'll leave positive feedback for someone if I get the item but I figure It'd be nice for others to know that they left it first. If EVERYBODY on ebay starts doing it it could catch on!
Pass around to other boards!!!

I really like that idea, but I've never had somebody leave feedback for me before I left any for them. Then again, I don't sell things on E-bay so that could be part of it.

Thanked: 2that is exactly what i am trying to fix. if you ever get feedback before you receive the item you bought, leave feedback stating that they left theirs before you received the item and that they are an honest seller that is confident in their item.....after you receive it and everything's A-OK of course.

Sometimes the seller may be confident with his item but not the buyer. I always pay up as soon as I know all pricing details but I never got feedback before I left mine and a few sellers neglected to leave any feedback.

Thanked: 2yeah, don't leave it until you get the item and are happy.
if you are happy and they left feedback first, make sure to put that they left feedback first so other people know they are honest like that.

Thanked: 10Joseph,
That's a great idea! I just received a set of Baby Einstein DVD's for my granddaughter and used your suggestion
That is how a majority of Sellers are now but they sure don't turn down your money, they hold it ransom for feedback.
When we purchase and do not receive feedback for payment, we also need to leave a "message" in our feedback.
SELLER ACPT'D PMT. BUT HOLDING MY FEEDBACK HOSTAGE. ITEM AS DESCRIBED, FAST SHIPPING

If a buyer sends payment immediately, they should receive automatic positive feedback. A buyer's only responsiblity is to pay for their item and provide a place to send it to. If those two things are done, they've fulfilled their obligation, and should receive positive feedback. Everything else is on the seller.

Thanked: 2the only problem with saying that they are holding it hostage is that they can then leave you negative feedback.
i have seen sellers leave people negative feedback when they receive positive feedback with less than great comments....like the one above....maybe something slick like 'RECEIVED ITEM....PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK FOR ME!', that way it isn't 'mean' and it would let people know that you left it first.
if everyone does this it would be great! spread the word.

Do remember that many sellers on eBay list lots of items and have other things going on. I typically leave feedback for sales and purchases one day a
week, Friday night when reconciling the weeks receipts fro eBay and my online store. By then many or the weeks buyers have already received their items. I guess that would throw me into the "hostage holding" catagory.
In my opinion feedback is left when BOTH parties are happy with the deal. As a buyer this means when the seller has delivered the goods and all is well or he has made good on any issues I have had. As a seller I an happy when my buyer receives the items and is pleased or if unhappy with it has given me a chance to correct the problem fairly and not simply left me bad feedbacl or come to forums and left bad comments as we sometimes see. Both buyer and seller have obligations to complete the transaction as gentlemen to both parties satisfaction. In this case holding off on feedback is not holding it hostage but instead giving the seller too a chance to evaluate whether he was given a fair chance to make a good transaction.
