I was thinking about this and my first reaction was "hardly ever". But then I realised I play most days on the way to and from work, so I guess I'm an everyday guy!

I'm playing the original version of DOOM right now, love that game. I tend to like the older games I played when I was a kid, they take me back. I love the original Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog and so on. Good times!

    The Humble Indie Bundle #2

Five great games: Braid (worth it itself), Cortex Command, Machinarium, Osmos and Revenge of the Titans, all for however much you want to donate. And you also get to choose where those donations go; either to the developers, the website, Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), and/or Child's Play charity. Can be activated through Steam (or not) and all are available for Win, Mac and Linux.

Been playing Braid a bit, and donated for a second pack to get my brother for Xmas.
That is AWESOME! I missed the first pack. I'll purchase this pack once I get home.

Indeed, and I just got an email about an hour ago from the website saying that because of the incredible success, they added the entire first pack (World of Goo and five others) complimentary. Just activated them on Steam.

EDIT: Checked back at the site and apparently they're giving away the first pack to anyone who donates > $7.33USD.

Nice one. Although I already bought World of Goo (which is awesome in it's own right, one of the few games I played completely through) on it's own.

I'll play anything new and shiny. Starcraft 2 and New Vegas were the last things I played. Both were good, especially New Vegas. It really was pretty close to the original Fallout RPG, unlike Fallout 3.

There are a couple games coming up that look pretty good. Dead Space 2 and the new Deus Ex game look good. I was looking at was what listed as some of the new Deus Ex screenshots, and if they really were screenshots and not concept art, than that game will look really, really amazing. It looks like being in Blade Runner.

Yeah, it was good. I might have to reinstall it over the holidays.

I'll admit it, I have an addiction to video games. Lately I've been playing a lot of .99 games on my iphone. It's absolutely amazing how much entertainment you can get out of a game for .99 . Where I currently live we have awful satellite internet, so online gaming is out of the question. Previously I used to play FPS games almost exclusively. Mainly the Modern Warfare series and then Battlefield bad company 2.

For those that like FPS, Battlefield is WAY better than Modern Warfare IMO. They have much larger maps, many more vehicles, and much more realism. Just about everything in the game can be destroyed. Buildings blow up and collapse, trees can be shot up and fall down, and of course vehicles can be taken out with anything from C4 to missile launchers mounted on buildings. Bullets actually drop instead of going perfectly straight. There is no "radar" telling you exactly where someone is all the time, unless someone is "spotted".

I like playing modern warfare, but playing battlefield feels much more like being in a real war instead of playing an arcade game. If you're into FPS games definitely try it out. If you're planning on buying it, make sure you buy it new, because you'll be able to download a bunch of bonus maps free. If you buy used (like I did) then you'll have to pay $14.99 for the same content.

All of that is true, provided you actually want realism in your games.

I don't...I like things to hit where I shoot and I like to (at least have the illusion that I can) fly things that I want to fly.

I tried Battlefield for a while....and got REALLY annoyed that I could never get anywhere, was always too far from the action whenever I died and whenever I got into an air vehicle I'd crash it in minutes. So I'll stick to Unreal Tournament I think.
