I haven't run in mine yet, but they made it through this weekend's hockey tournament on single knots (I'm a photographer, not a hockey player). 16, 16, and 10 hour days, walking around, hopping over the boards, and heading up and down stairs.

Thanked: 68What strange & twisted paths these forums often take...
Don't remember how I originally linked to this site - maybe from an odd sites list - but for those with lace issues you could check out Ian's Shoelace Site - Shoelace Knots - How To Tie Your Shoes for some knot alternatives.
Ian's Secure Shoelace Knot is quite helpful instead of the standard double bow and it will still pull to undo easily.Don't do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the paramedics!

Thanked: 1371I never have trouble with my laces...
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

As far as I'm concerned, shoe laces have gone to pot along with nearly everything else. The tublar laces in the last pair of New Balance shoes I bought stretched out to the point where I have to triple knot them to keep from walking on them. The next time I go to Walmart, I'm getting a pair of flat laces like my "tennies" used to have!
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.
