Thanked: 461. Gordon Freeman: he never has to say much (anything?) to get his point across, smart enough to get through his PhD, pick up and use alien weapons with no difficulty, plays "head-crab tennis" with a crow-bar and commands the respect of everyone around him.
2. Rather than a "want to be" I'll take my second choice as "anyone but" and name Isaac Clarke from Dead Space. Clever, resourceful and SO MESSED UP! Nope, don't want to be that guy!

Gordon Freeman, because he's intelligent and kicks ass.
Duke nukem because he is funny, gets action and kicks ass.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I would say Duke Nukem as well.
And second choice would be Super Mario. Rescues princesses and stomps on goombas!

Dante from Devil may Cry 3-4
(all up to the upcoming version...he looks a bit too effeminate for my tastes in that)
Why? This is why:
Relaxed, funny dude with kicka$$ fighting skills who doesn't even blink at anything that comes his way.
and for a second character:
maybe Ken from Streetfighter 2 (and 3, and probably 4 as well...haven't checked it out yet.) he seems like he has fun with what he does.

I'll go with Drake from Uncharted because he's just the man.
Because I like so many video game story lines and characters, it's really hard to pick just two. But since I had a big infatuation with MMOs and (fantasy?) games in the past, my second would be Uther Lightbringer from WoW. Uther the Lightbringer - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft

C'mon, man! Uther is from Warcraft! WoW isn't a game, it's a second job that you pay to have.
It's been a while since I've really gotten into a game with characters, but Mordecai from Borderlands is pretty awesome. I'll go with him as #1. #2 would be... um... Geralt from The Witcher or I was going to say the guy you play in STALKER, but when I think about it, his life must be really really terrible, so scratch that. So Mordecai and Geralt it is

LOL I agree and disagree with this. It is a reverse job for most people but I have to say once you get into the story lines, it's absolutely one of the best games ever made. I sold my account earlier this year after leaving it sit inactive for a while, but I still haven't found many games that compare.
The trick is to not fall into an addiction and obsess over raiding and item acquisition. Also, Uther is MAINLY from the Warcraft RPGs so the basis for my character is a little less nerdy than one strictly from WoW.
Most memorable character in any game I've played but not necessarily one I'd chose for my answer... Snake from Metal Gear or Kratos from GoWLast edited by ats200; 07-02-2011 at 05:41 PM.
