I took this picture a couple of weeks ago, that's 122˚ in English Money. it drops to around 45˚ (113˚) at night. This goes on for around 3 months or so, with the humidity increasing in July and August.
The good news is, that we are well equipped with regards AC
Winter is great, average temps around 25˚ (77˚)
The authorities seem to keep a cap on the published temperatures (bad press since they got the 2022 Football World Cup, which should be played in the summer, but we all know that's an impossibility)

Small wonder the SouthWest of the US is very Christian.
If you live in hell, you need all the protection you can get.
I jest... I jest...
But I remember Texas in August.
I never imagined it could be so hot and humid.
I got out of the shuttle bus near the hotel at 9 PM (Something like that) and for a moment I thought that I was standing directly in front of the engine exhaust.
10 seconds later I realized that that was just the outside atmosphere... at night...
Nevada, Utah and Arizona were not quite as bad.
Hot as hell, for sure, but at least the humidity was low enough that it was doable.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

It's still hotter than hades here. Temp should drop to the mid to high 80s for two days tomorrow, then back into the 90s.
Most worrisome is that there has been no rain for more than two weeks. The ground is really parched.
The city's mayor asked people not to water their lawns. The water pressure in the city has dropped, potentially impairing the ability of firemen to extinguish any fires that may breakout."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

Mid to high 90's here with low humidity which is usual for this time of year. When we need a break the North Coast is just a short drive away - Fort Bragg will have a forecast high of 57 today under partly cloudy skies - which is wonderful.

Thanked: 198hot, where can i start, i have been at work the past 2 nights. Now let me explain what i do, i get the wonderful privledge of working with scrap copper, all night, now here is the fun part, I MELT IT. the working temp for copper to repour it, is 2200 F so needles to say, my building is the type of place that the devil could easily call home in the summer. when its this hot, well, i can ring my clothing out after about 15 min. what makes it all the more sad, is in the winter, we have seen temps of 7 above in the middle of the night, with all the doors closed.

I'm at high altitude so it never gets too hot here in the summer. Usually it's a balmy 100F.
I remember growing up back east and in the summer the radio stations would do these gag things like fry an egg on a car hood or even on the sidewalk. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
