Thanked: 1587But the ABs are nigh unstoppable on their home turf, or at least that has been Australia's experience for the past million years. So unless the problem is a psychological one on Australia's behalf (which it could very well be...) I think New Zealand will dominate this World Cup. Unless they choke.....again.....

For those of us who missed this last night, here are the highlights: Official RWC 2011 Site
You guys get top level rugby all the time, but for those of us on less fortunate continents this is really exciting!

Agreed this is a big deal for fans in North America.
Watched the Scotland Romania game and Scotland looked horrible most the match.
Got up at 4:00am and watched the England Argentina match. The game itself was better but England just seemed to be on there heels for most the match. I think Wilkenson missed 5 penalties and England was getting into silly penalty trouble through out the first 1/2 - 3/4 of the game.

I watched the Italy v Australia and Ireland v USA games live at a bar over the weekend. I was pretty astonished most of the time - it was like watching the same game twice! Yeah they were close games, but they were close because both teams (moreso Australia and Ireland) were playing exceptionally crappy for the majority of the game. To me those are the worst kinds of games to watch, close for the majority and then one team breaks away and it turns into a blowout. Bah!
Then I woke up to see the score of SA v Wales, that must have been a good one.

Thanked: 94Any one else suprised by USA? their Defense was quite solid! their pack was over matched all day long in the scrum, but they were way more fun to watch than my beloved Steelers who were thrashed and defeated by the Ravens.

I was a bit surprised, yeah. We did a lot better than previous outings, and we're definitely improving. I was a little disappointed, though, with our performance in broken play (as I always am). To me, a team's ability to reset quickly in broken play is crucial. Every time things get mucked up and the ball swaps sides a few times, we're always caught trying to rush an offense running flat. But that kind of thing comes with experience I suppose. It's sort of bittersweet to watch us play because we've got a lot of talent, which is promising, but we're so unrefined. Can get pretty painful at times.
But I LOVED that interception at the end. It was a big statement and fun to watch!

Thanked: 94Lol ya I had my daughter in my arms and was looking down at her for a split second and missed the interception, but saw the Try! After watching the replay I was in shock!! lol If Heart alone could with games, those boys would be champs, but they are very green on the world stage to say the least!

I see that the differences among the teams have been reduced, no more 80 or more scores in the RWC, it's good to see that the teams have improved their skills.
Good game of Wales against SA, losing this way I can't say nothing negative
