Thread: Photos of the world - Your city, your town, your photos!

I have seen a few photos that people have took of there cities and i thought, why not start a thread dedicated to that!

It would be a great chance to see the different places and different cultures where we all live, and not to mention there are some very very good photographers on SRP!

I only received my (semi SLR) camera a few weeks ago and have managed to take some.. Well, amateur photos from it so i thought i would start it off and would love to see your shots!

Coming out of Central Park NY

My home City is London, however I'm in my 5th year in Doha, so this is my current home.

First up is the West bay area of Doha viewed from the Corniche, the business area of Doha.

I've also included some pictures from an area 20-50 km, South of Doha in an area known as Khor Al Udeid (Inland Sea) it's on the border with Saudi Arabia. This is where we camp most weekends during the winter months.

After seeing this thread, I became excited to show you my city. I went to the photo section of my computer. I'm not so excited now; I have literally thousands of photos (digitized over the years) from Southeast Asia to Europe and many places that I have traveled in my country.
I have no photos of my city, South Florida, Miami. I have lived here most all of my life. I love my city. This must say something, having no photos of the place that has given me everything; something not so good.

Maybe I should slow the hell down and enjoy what's around me.

I will go out and in a few weeks contribute some photos of my city.

I have nightmares whenever I drive through that area. And I'm used to the traffic in NoVa and on the beltway around DC and Baltimore.
I grew up in the Berkshires but now reside in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.

Wow great. I had no idea you had lived in the Berkshires. Looks like your living in a much better place. Yea driving around here sucks!
