You need to remember in this country the last time I looked we don't have a leader with supreme authority so the increase in Govt isn't because the Govt wanted to enlarge itself. Afterall, the folks in Congress are elected by us and do our bidding just like the tea party folks are doing right now. Govt got big because WE wanted that to happen. It's OK to want to go back to a time when Govt was minuscule and almost inconsequential however along with that goes all the ills of society back say in the 1800s. Would anyone here want to live in that era. Maybe if you were some rich guy or tycoon you would but for the typical person life was a daily struggle for survival. If you were unlucky you were dead or worse.

It's easy to criticize Govt for all we don't like and simply gloss over the day to day things we take for granted without realizing those things we all depend on that Govt does for us.

Of course maybe if you live under a rock then you don't need anything and are 100% totally self sufficient and are willing to suffer the consequences of going it alone.

Yes it is, that's what being grumpy old men is all about - criticizing what we don't like and glossing over things we take for granted. And now we have come full circle

    Integrity, indeed...
"The opression of women" may not be such a bad thing. Have you ever driven in traffic with lots of women drivers? Men seem to obey traffic laws better which enables one to better predict what they are going to do. Women on the other hand are better situational ethicists who seem to believe the situation, not law, dictates what you do next.

Why thank, thank you very much. With an endorsement like that, I'm sure to get voted in. That's how it works in kinghood, ain't it?

Well, more or less. When the old king gets soft, the new king wanna be just kills him along with the rest of his family, proving he's got the required ruthlessness. Sometimes a whole army is used in the process. At least that's how it used to be in the good ole days.

Now in modern times the king in question doesn't have his own army, he's just using the services of somebody else's. Luckily for you he doesn't natively speak their language, and you do, so you just need to lobby the right people, promise more than he's giving them currently, and you should be all set.

So, yes, it's a matter of just setting up the right political campaign! Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can!

On your PAC's, superPACs, and 501(c)4s.... ready.... GO!!!!

I'm reminded of an old joke. You know why Helen Keller was such a bad driver? Because she was a woman! (it's a joke, just a joke, not part of my manifesto, not what I actually believe, just a joke.)

And that reminds me of a good one along those lines...

What's wrong when your wife is yelling at you from the living room?
    Her chain is too long.

(That Helen Keller joke makes me laugh every time)

The debt gets bigger and the waitressing turns into having sex with fat hairy foreigners.

I've wondered about this. How is it possible that the parents believe this? It is happening in their own country, on a very big scale. I could understand if this was an exceptional thing, but Thailand is globally known for its sex industry and the fact that age limits are not respected.

Don't the Thai people themselves know this?
