Yeah...not an issue with me. I generally get left lots of room when I park my truck.

Either that or I'm driving up and over their trunk/hood.

You just need some steel siderails and replace the side steps with combo step/sliders on that thing and you'd have the perfect vehicle for doing the shopping in, here in Australia! Good all round protection from people who pull out of the space on either side, and side swipe you on the way out. Trust me it happened to me. Rock sliders took a chunk out of the other persons car and took no damage itself, apart from the white paint from the other bloke that polished of the black steel of the slider on the drivers side. Got a steel bar/step/towbar on the back?! Perfect!
The wife wouldn't let me put siderails on our 4Bee...Yet! They might just have to go on the Toyota Troop carrier I plan on getting, but it will be the main 'bush basher' vehicle, so it's going to have very few mod cons (No power windows etc, manual everything. A/C will be the exception), all round steel protection and an uncaring attitude from the owner...Me. I like yours too though .

Ours, in the early stages of additions. Bullbar and Rockslider/steps in place and UHF CB installed. A/T tyres, winch and suspension upgrades later additions.

Love it. My only thing is that the Cruisers look too pretty to offroad to me. (Even though they're tanks.)

But I wouldn't rock anything other than an ARB with my OME susp. Nothing but first class goods. Perfect for Bambi bowling.

Got a TJM bar on mine. Got more room for big ol' Aussie 'Lightforce' 240 spotties between the bumper and the top bar. Spot the 'roo's, sheep, cattle horse, emus etc a mile away, and for the ones you don't see, the bullbar lays 'em down flat for ease of driving over...
Their prettiness is the reason why the wife refuses to toughen it up with side panel bars. She likes pretty. Ours doesn't see much hard off roading, but it see's a lot of back country roads and highways (very much different to a US highway of any description...Trust me on that) and boggy paddocks.

I'm Canadian so it's a little different up here too.

It looks like an ARB, TJM a decent knock off? Most of the bumpers up here are more of the minimalist type for greater approach angles, or on the full size trucks, it looks like a juggernaut helmet for the sole purpose of ramming stuff.

I bet you don't even notice when you clip a jaywalking Sydneysider!

In all honesty, that's a nice ride. Here's how we do trucks in America: the Ferd F-teenthousand! Ferd F-teenthousand Truck Commercial (high definition) - YouTube

TJM do similar bar work to ARB. We have a few different mobs here that do bullbars and more bullbar styles than you poke a...Ferd F-teenthousand at. The TJM and ARB camps are usually warring with each other about who's bar is better, but I like 'em both. I went for the TJM for both convenience and design. We have a TJM not to far away from home and they have, as I said, a little more clearance for spotlights. ARB give better entry angles though, so it was a bit of a trade off of needs. The difference was small enough to not matter to our needs for 4wd purposes.
Those juggernaught bars you mention sound like something we put on our B&S Utes in this country. We have these big country dances usually held with some other event like a rodeo/Ute show. The dances are called Bachelor and Spinster, B&S for short, and you can always count on seeing a lot of Utes (Utility/Trayback vehicles that look like a cross breed of a family sedan front end and a pickups back end. Not as big as your F series.) These Utes usually sport what is called '5 poster' bullbars that look something like a paddock gate with 5 upright stays across them. Not much good for ground clearance, but great front end protection.
These days, due to a a new class of car racing (BRutes V8), the manufacturers are making them more sports car like, where as once before they were a handy farm vehicle. A sad change I feel.

As far as jay walking sydney-siders go, they will never need to fear me. I went to sydney once. I swore I would never return to the dirty, disgusting place. First night there a gang tried to rob me and two mates. It ended badly for them. They didn't know we were there to compete in a full contact martial arts tourniment. It was like a warm up for the next day for us. Big cities are not for me. I live on the very edge of one, but I can get away to the country very easily from my position, so it is tolerable. I never venture much into the place, I go to a smaller town just to my north a mile or so.

I thought the TJM stuck out a little more than the ARB. Still looks good though.

Oh, and the full size bull bars I was talkin' about...

    Like that.

This story reminded me of a movie scene. Please tell me you finished them off with an antenna boomerang.

Here's a representitive of two types five poster The fist being a reasonably sensible one, the second is just nuts but it's a great image. I ripped them both off the net, so my apologies to whoever may have rights to them.
