    I think a plastic bubble would insulate a guy pretty durn well against lightning strikes. Just sayin.

    I don't know about that. The lightning has already traveled maybe a mile or a lot more. A little plastic might not even slow it down.

    I've seen a video of a storm chaser that took a hit in his car. Not only did it vaporize the little antenna and the coax, it blew his rear tires.

    You could see a hole in his rims where the bolt came out.
