Sounds like you did your job bro. Look, we all have bad days, and we all get snippy at times too. If she hasn't yet with you, she will. You said you're sorry, time to move on and have a great weekend. Don't ruin it by dragging it out. Let it go, if she can't and she wants to screw up the weekend over something so minimal, then she's not for you. Good luck friend.

    typical situation:
man: What did I do wrong?
woman: If you don't know, I'm not telling you.

    Can't win that one.

well i followed brunos advice and just gave her some space and she came to me and everything was great before the trip started. the backpacking trip was amazing and wonderful however a mountain lion and her cub actually came to our camp that night and scared the heck out of my lady. very very amazing experience i must say. such a majestic animal. we went without a tent and i guarante you that shes going to be making me take a tent next time. hahahahahahahaha!!!!! thank you all for all of your advice!!!! we had a wonderful time and things are great again!!! she even showed up at my place the night before we left with some sandlewood talc powder.

Make sure to remind her that a tent really limits your escape route when the mountain lion and cub come through the campsite hungry.

Glad you guys patched things up. Before I read your follow-up about the successful trip, I was going to suggest a SOLO backpacking trip, but it seems to have worked out, mountain lion and all!

One thing I learned in 9 years as a Scout leader: If you really want to get to know someone (all too well), take them camping or backpacking.

You just have to think like a woman... Start off thinking like a man and then take away reason and accountability.... And Voila!
