When I worked for the INS we had warehouses full of everything you could imagine. Computers, laptops, mobile and base station radios, firearms, ammo. The process to requisition the stuff was so difficult and the existence of the stuff was kept secret unless you knew someone who told you about it. Most became obsolete and was given away to foreign countries like err...Mexico.
A story to make you cry? Many years ago the Border Patrol had been issued BARs all brand new in the original wooden crates. Someone in Washington decided it was an improper weapon for them and they were all collected up and sent to a metal foundry and they all went into the furnace.Last edited by thebigspendur; 07-02-2012 at 03:34 PM.

Thanked: 485Some people might say "if you're doing nothing wrong you've got nothing to worry about" but I think we've all got our own ideas about 'wrong'. What is considered a 'wrong' in the community (State) in which I live might not be what I consider a wrong.
However, 'denying the enemy ground through active patrolling' is a principle I learnt in the army, along with depth of fire and range of fire. In some areas of the world, from what I see on that depressive drug commonly named TV, active patrolling is a required method. Not so much in a loving, caring, peaceful community, maybe; but I bet this is not happening in such a community; if one exists...
In other words, some people bring it on themselves, and we all have to suffer along with them, but that's just the story of life, and by some people I mean all people...
But now I'm getting too deep so I'll shut upStranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
