In Belgium, 95 octane costs roughly 1.55 euro per litre. 98 octane costs roughly 1.65 euro per litre.
Is 95 octane regular over there? Here in New Jersey regular is typically 87 or 89. That's going for about $3.29 right now.

The first time I remember gas prices, we were on vacation in MO, and my dad was complaining because he paid 1.21 a gallon, when if he'd just got it one city sooner he could have paid 98 cents per. I honestly don't pay attention whatsoever to gas prices. I have to have gas....Whatever the price is, I'll pay it until they find a way to sell an electric 3/4 ton truck for less than 10 thousand dollars.

As for whether the price fluctuates with elections, I also don't know. I've been around long enough to see a few presidents come and go, but the only thing I remember about the last election was that Obama won. I admire you all for having so much memory available to you. I'm not even sure if I ate yesterday, let alone the price of gas 4 years ago.

Over here you can buy 95 (regular) or 98 (super).
I was told you can get 100 in Germany.

    Nessmuck,

Here in the UK where gasoline is the equivalent of ca 8.50 USD/US gallon, the miminum wage is ca 9.60 USD/hour for over 21's.

    Have fun !

    Best regards
