My wife got a concussion
We went rollerblading in a skatepark. She slipped and landed on the edge with her head.
Result:
Big giant bump or her head, a1.5 inch cut, short term memory loss (the first 20 minutes she asked me every 3 minutes where we were, why and what date it was) nausea and a headache.
Also I have to wake her up every hour this night. I'm not too excited about that but for her I'll walk to the moon. So I might be on here a couple of times thi night (your daytime...at least most of you.) it's going to be a loooong night.

Sorry to hear that Alex. Give her my wishes for a speedy recovery. Make sure you keep something cold on that bump even if it's just a wet rag which you air-dry to cool it off.

It's my nighttime too, so I'll be with you in spirit. That seriously sucks. By skatepark should I be thinking "park in which people skate" or should I be thinking "Tony Hawk?"

Tony Hawk. You should see Alex' skating vid, he had some MAD moves

Thanked: 346Your wife is a lucky woman.
I fell out of a tree when I was in 8th grade and landed on my head. I was concussed and had total amnesia for about 14 hrs, and retained no memory of the next 8 or so hours. I was lucky too, after a day or so I was pretty much ok, but I've had a ringing in my ears ever since.Last edited by mparker762; 11-21-2006 at 12:13 AM.

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes it's harder to get through when it's happened to a loved one instead of yourself. Don't you guys wear helmets though?

Hey, you two are newlyweds...be glad she remembers that you are married! Best of luck tonight, but it sounds like everything will be fine!

I know....one of the questions that she asked me was:"How long have we been married?" Now I can tell you that one had me worried for a little while.
