A "bump" in criminal terms is a tactic by pick-pockets who "bump" into you, seeming Innocent, then later you realize that your wallet has been taken. Usually this tactic is used by more than one pick-pocket, passing the wallet among them rapidly & dumped in the trash within seconds.
