If that were the Missouri/ Kansas border there would be more armed guards to keep those Jayhawkers out.

Hey lol! It was Quantrell's raiders... that really started it all, and according to some, even the civil war!!

Really, I suppose John Brown sneaking across the border and burning entire communities had nothing to do with it. Not to mention Doc Jennison and the good Senator James Lane..

    Oh here we go lol!!

LOL, Just joking, just joking lol. I am sure you know more of the states history than I do. I am just quoting the History Channel lol. It is a fantastic topic though. I would never have guessed all the things that happened in those two states before I moved here!

The border crossing is the Detroit / Windsor crossing.

I thought it looked familiar but I usually go through Sault Ste Marie when I go into Canada.

BTW It aint over til its over and we aint quit yet! LOL Actually I just love the history around here, the books from school taught that it all started at Ft. Sumter in '61, if that is true Missouri and Kansas were close to 10 years ahead of the rest of the country.

Right! That was the point the History Channel was making. Its kind of cool. Actually, back when men were men (or cowboys) our two respective states had an incredible amount of history going on. Heck! If St.Lewis won the contract to be the train hub that Chicago ended up becoming, I can't even imagine how different America would look today...

Anyway, that's a whole other thread.
