Heard this on the radio and had to laugh. UN troops in Texas!? Good luck with that. They could likely be repelled by a couple truckloads of drunken, heavily armed Bubbas in a matter of hours. Sounds like the media stirring "the look how crazy ALL Republicans are" pot. Ever been to Lubbock? I'm just sayin...

I appear before judges on a regular basis, and I can tell you some are just dumb. I do not give much weight to what they have to say. There are also some judges for whom I have great respect, and whose words and opinions I give great weight.

I don't think I could ever leave this country, and I pray we return to a good solid path where the U.S. Constitution is our standard, the guiding light for our all our laws and decisions of our higher courts. God bless this country and it's citizens.

President Obama has infuriated his liberal base over the last four years, and Mitt Romney would do exactly the same thing to his base. If the tail end of the Tea Party swing is able to get Romney elected and give him majorities in Congress, not only will he fall short of the Conservatives’ expectations, but the momentum of public sentiment will swing and elect Democrats in the next election. If Obama wins re-election, he’ll be stuck with a conservative Congress. Despite a polarized climate, we’ll have nothing but moderate policy and/or deadlock for the next four years. So what’s everybody worked up about?

The problem is if the "wrong " guy gets elected he is in a position to do a lot of damage. Just think if Bush was never president we would never be in the mess we are in now overseas and how many guys wouldn't be dead or maimed and how much more money would we have now?

If Mitt is elected he will be the real Manchurian candidate. He will be a lackey of the ultra conservatives cause if he doesn't play ball with them they will primary him and he knows it. If he wins I wouldn't be surprised if some wacko right winger tries to do him in so Ryan can be President. After-all, that's who they really want.

Quoting a man who makes money off hyperbole. It must be really frustrating for him to know that the majority of people voting in this country are more educated than he is.

Rush is one of the many pot stirrers. Nothing truly "conservative" about him, he is just a judas goat for the Republican party. You see his kind everywhere, left and right. Chris Matthews would be an example from the other side.

Without taking the bait. I think in fairness, after 9/11 we would have gone to war no matter who was president. I supported both wars (both politically and physically) at the time but IMHO, once OBL was dispatched every American kid in Afghanistan should have been sitting at home within a week and the flow of American taxpayer money into Afghanistan and Pakistan should have come to a screaming hault. Instead, our Commander in Chief, quietly and unilaterally agreed to an American presence AND continuing aid to Afghanistan (and the Karzai family heroin business) until 2024. What an inspirational leader and a compassionate man, BLESS HIS HEART.

The biggest problems I see are an uneducated electorate, ignorant of their history and ignorant of how the constitution as well as the legislative process works. They sit on their butts and get everything they know from political ads and pundits . Over the years it has become far more polarized, there is no center anymore(which should be based on the constitution our founding document) only extreme leftism which involves ever increasing government and extreme rightism which involves ever increasing govt. I think the last two administrations are easy examples. Meanwhile as the pot is being stirred, the extreme emotionalism overcomes whatever rationality there was and one side blames the other for everything they both have done. Bill Clinton and the Anti Terrorism Act, Georgie Jr and the Patriot Act and now Obama and the NDAA. are very prime examples IMO. In the end all of this will lead to more confusion and anxiety with the public, both sides being played for fools but it will always be the other fools fault until the lid blows off the pot and there is no more room to compromise, who will win? The right wing nationalists or the left wing socialists, and wth is the difference.

The only winner I see is whoever does the mass manipulating and the government apparatus they control.
I say the same to you as I did Glen NUN2...AGREED,AGREED,AGREED ! Simpsonian Ideology has dumbed down the voting mass and we are in for a world of you know what !

I probably had that coming for choosing to quote Rush. HOWEVER, a little something I learned from prolonged exposure to Air Force Officers, don't ever confuse education and intelligence. Thomas Edison was arguably one of the smartest men our country ever produced but had very little formal education. Not that I'm comparing Rush to Thomas Edison by any stretch, just saying an education doesn't equal intelligence any more than the lack of one automatically equals stupidity. I'd venture to say we've all known at least a few people in our lives with 27 letters after their name that couldn't poor piss out of a boot with the directions written on the bottom.
