Oil
Obama has blocked drilling in the Gulf. We all know what prompted it.
He has blocked drilling in the US.
He has blocked the Keystone Pipeline.
At the same time he has given Billions to Brazil and Mexico to help them with offshore drilling. Other countries are still drilling in the Gulf.
Can anyone give me a rational explanation for these actions?
I have my opinion.

Thanked: 1371Re: Oil
Define "rational", for this context, please.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Thanked: 3223My own personal opinion on the Keystone pipeline is that it is a temporary stall until after your elections are over. Obama needs to keep votes. After the elections are over the Keystone pipeline just may get revived no matter who wins. The US needs the oil from what is regarded as a secure and friendly source too badly for that not to happen. Do keep in mind that Canada is the largest foreign supplier oil to the US by a long shot, followed by Mexico and then Saudi Arabia. Just an opinion and as such worth little and is a rational as I get.
