If you're curious about what goes on through the gate there, you can visit my gardening blog. (CAUTION! May cause drowsiness in non-gardeners! Do not operate heavy machinery or sharp objects after viewing!).
Nice blog Matt - ill take a better look later on.

Ive had 3 allotments over the past few years and grew loads but i found the whole thing too much for just me (the allotment site was huge. Easily 100foot x 50foot). So i gave it up but im getting the urge to grow and i do miss it. With any luck i can landscape ky back yard in readiness for next spring and work from there.

It was still dark out when I took the picture.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

It is still dark in California, so here's a picture taken from our back door last week with my iPhone. I will take a better picture later this morning, as this picture was attempting to focus on the buck, and the depth of field is lost. Our home is in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, just outside the Tahoe National Forest.

Here is the humble view from my back door. My little weed-ridden garden produced about 5 gallons of tomato sauce this year.

Whats left of the garden after 3 months of drought. I am still getting tomatoes, peppers, cukes and a zuchinni here and there. The beets are pickled and I am getting ready to pull the last of the turnips. After that I will pull the onions and carrots and hopefully a few potatoes both reds and sweets.

When they said you dropped out of the rat race and took up with a hoe, I had another thought in mind. Your pic cleared up a few misconceptions for me, thanks!
