People done lost they damn minds ya'll! Seriously, what happened to getting your ass kicked, and taking it like a real man. Everybody gotta have a piece now. Good to hear you and your family left before one of your own kids stumbled on the gun; people just never cease to amaze me sometimes.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Re: Discarded
I have been teaching my kids ever since they could get close to my gun cabinet. And it has worked wonderfully and even with toy guns I have been strict with so they could never have an easy bridge between toys-n-real guns
Thank you,
Swerve

My 3 & 6 y/o boys enjoy playing with their NERF guns. With web sites like youtube--and my or my wife's supervision--they watch videos on what other kids do with their toy guns. The 6 y/o is always curious and asks me a million questions. I'm always honest with him and simply explain the difference between their toy guys and real guns, who is allowed to have real guns (e.g., police), why real guns are used, why real guns are not toys or should not be played with, etc. Gotta teach them while they're young.
You can take the boy out of NY, but you can't take NY out of the boy.

Thanked: 94Just think if the Violence tax would just be passed those pesky criminals would not have thrown that "legally" (im sure), purchased pistol away because the tax on the gun and the bullets would have made it worth its own weight in gold!!
On a serious note, thank God everyone in your home and neighborhood is ok! I have a little one myself and the thought of that happening in my area (Tempe AZ) scares the bejeebers out of me!

Thanked: 1371Re: Discarded
I'm another believer in teaching them while they're young.
My kids last Sunday:
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Cute kids bro!! Get that girl to lift her elbow lol!!
Oh man I can't wait to share the joy of shooting with my kids. I shot competitively in high school! It was awesome. In today's world I doubt I'll be able to find a school to do it so the old man will have to help out lol.
Can't wait to get me a little .22 again.
