So, after a couple hours of dogged determination that I was registered, and entitled, they produced a document I had signed in 2011, declining voter registration. I have a feeling this will be the first of many stories along these lines....

Ryan82: Funny that you'd have that premonition. It was 230 pm by the time it was settled that I could not vote. The woman who finally convinced me, said that there were many of us who'd done the same stupid thing. Only she didn't call it a stupid thing. I did that all by myself. So while I doubt too many SRP members forgot that they declined to register to vote, and then publicly pointed out their own failure on an international shaving forum, I do believe it's more common than we might imagine. lol.

It's a good thing me thinks. It shows involvement. It's those people who don't gripe, bitch, and moan that bother me. Complacency is exactly whats wrong with so many institutions from mom and pops stores, to big business, to government.

As a Canuck in the USA, I bitch and moan but I would hope that no one would ever take that to mean I don't love this country and want the best for it, and all it's citizens including my two Yankee kids! I have paid HUGE to be here, and I wouldn't ever change that though at times it's trying. I came here by choice, and Kansas has been very good to me... very good.

That's all to say thank you to all those people who have made me feel welcome here - I hope I can help make America a better country for all.
As a vet, i defend your right to bitch... That is why this country is great.,

You can't vote because everyone knows Canadians are massing on the border for the attack... We are just waiting for you to launch so we can start the camps again..

OK, who blabbed... that was supposed to be a secret!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Yes, you certainly can complain. If someone listens or not I have not clue!

Well said. With no bitching, we stand still.
