Cangooner, if you want one example of why 'mental health' treatment in the USA is not effective in dealing with this sort of thing before the fact read the story of Charles Whitman here . Don't get me wrong, I know that was a long time ago, and I know that mental health professionals are dedicated people who, by and large, really care. I also know from personal experience of a family member that if the meds don't work, and/or if the insurance isn't adequate, the patient is out of luck. Anyway .....
