The financial services sector depends heavily on uneducated consumers. How else could you engineer the housing debacle?

We need BofA like we need a hole in the head. Big banks bite. Join a credit union.

I like smaller banks because they have fewer armed guards.

My bank doesn't have an armed guard, and I had never gave it any thought until now.

You wouldn't mind forwarding the address of this bank to me, would you?

I consider rewards programs silly. There are so many ways to make those couple of % that the rewards is the last thing I'd worry about.
To me the top deciding factor in choosing a financial institution is their customer service. If they are going to be wasting my time on a regular basis I let them find different customers. The less often I have to contact the customer service and the faster they fix my problem when I do the better their chances of retaining me as a client.
I've been with a couple of banks and a couple of credit companies for over a decade and there are dozens who managed to blow their chance within a year. I don't keep all my eggs in one basket, as a matter of good principle, hence the multiple institutions. That way when I get dissatisfied enough with any of them, closing the account does not cause any interruptions.

Actually I was just last night watching an ad on the tube about B of A and their credit card that pays you. Thanks to you guys I know that they might pay but not without changing the rules while you are playing their game.
