Well, it's a gang, isn't it? Who gets to decide who joins a gang? The weakest member or the toughest? The toughest of course. The entire planet is simply a school yard playground...

With things being so "tactical" and "accurate" these days the proposed reduction is even less worrisome. I would bet those big city busters didn't go away entirely either because when TSHTF and you really want to hurt somebody nothings says you mean it like the big boys.

Did Justin Bieber's father's birth change winter to spring? Did Justin Bieber's father golf a 38 under par, his first time golfing? This is at least twice the threat that Bieber is.

I don't think it is in China's current economic interest to let NK bother the US too much.

Than why is China not helping to curtail N.Ks Nuke program?

Good question. Maybe they know something we don't.

War, even the threat of impending war is great for the economy.

Although it was way back in the late '70's, I was stationed in S Korea along the border with N Korea. The crap that gets spewed from that desolate hole is never ending. Their greatest export is slaves to work the Russian forests and refugees into China. They owe Russia and China for their very existence, We are Chinas primary trading partner and I dont think China would let that little dog loose on its own to nip at our ankles. I believe that NK is simply a proxy for China when it comes to the political rhetoric, supplying terrorists with arms and terrorists states with nuke technology. Most of the saber rattling is pure poppy cock. We have a lot of nukes in the south, NK wants to play catch up, but no one, not even China will help them. In a confrontation strictly between the two Koreas, the south has the advantage.

Last week the Economist had a cover and lead article on North Korea - for those who may be interested in that perspective but have missed it.
    I meant this one.
(I'm not sure whether it's available without subscription though.)
